Westport Woman Accused Of Swearing At Steakhouse Employees, Trying To Leave Without Paying

A woman from Westport is facing charges after allegedly swearing at employees at a Wilton restaurant and refusing to pay her bill, police say.

Wilton Police responded to the Outback Steakhouse at 14 Danbury Road (Route 7) on Sunday, Jan. 27, upon the report of a potentially intoxicated customer causing a disturbance.

Police arrived to find that 59-year-old Jill M. Mulligan of Edgewater Commons had attempted to leave without paying and was swearing at employees. It was also discovered that Mulligan had been previously banned from Outback Steakhouse due to a similar incident.

Mulligan was charged with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree trespassing. She is scheduled to appear in Norwalk court on Thursday, Feb. 7.
